At 8:52 pm yesterday, police officers responded to a shooting at 16th and Brown. When they arrived, they found Kuame Burkett, an 18-year-old black male, lying in the street, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his torso and legs. Burkett was transported to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:14 pm.
Police have no motive or suspect.
