At 4:50 pm yesterday, police officers responded to a call about a person with a gun on the 1700 block of South Chadwick Street. When officers arrived, they found Andre Cerdan, a 23-year-old black male, suffering from a gunshot wound to the shoulder. Cerdan was transported to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:14 pm.
Police have no motive or arrest.
