Alice Thurnau, 90

On 9/20/07 around 9: 20 am, Alice Thurnau, a 90-year-old white woman, was walking near her home in the 3300 block of Thompson Street when she was severely beaten in a robbery. The suspect is described as a white male, in his late 20s to early 30s, who fled in a red Chevrolet Blazer. Thurnau, who transported to the hospital in critical condition, died of her injuries on 10/22/07 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Bucks County. Philadelphia police classified her death a homicide on 2/2/08.
