On Oct. 13, around 1 am, a 12-year-old black male was critically injured in a triple shooting in North Philadelphia.
The boy was riding in a minivan on the 1400 block of North Broad Street with two other males when police said a blue Buick LaSabre pulled alongside, and an occupant opened fire.
The minivan's 18-year-old driver, struck twice in the back, sped to Albert Einstein Medical Center. He and a 19-year-old passenger, who suffered a bullet graze to the forehead, were treated and released.
The 12-year-old boy was treated at Einstein for a gunshot wound to the face, and transfered to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children where he remained in critical condition.
Police have no motive or suspects.
