No Homicides Thursday, Number Goes Up Nevertheless

Thursday 4-17 saw no homicides in Philadelphia, but the number of homicides for the year went up nevertheless. On 3-9 it was believed William Wright, a 12 year-old white male from the 3100 Richmond St., had shot himself while playing with a handgun. It is now believed his brother, who has yet to be charged, shot him. Wright's brother is a juvenile and information about him is yet to be released.

William Wright's 3-9 death, now believed to be a murder, has been added to the city's body count for 2008, which now rests at 88.
